(Mercer) Kitchen

I’d consider myself quite the know it all when it comes to room service… I even have this grand idea to start a restaurant offering my favorite delights from my top-rated hotels that I have frequented.

The Mercer, located at the corner of Spring and Mercer street, brings a sophisticated and fashionable crowd to the heart of Soho and has some of my favorite meals all under one roof. Stop in, hydrate with a mimosa or two, indulge in the best vegan burger around and continue on your way — Manhattan style.

Chef Jean- George’s Kitchen prepares seasonal ingredients that cater to an internationally market-driven audience. This is evident in the downstairs dining area, which is almost entirely occupied for lunch and dinner all year-round.

My Favorites:

The buttermilk pancakes

Paired with market berries and banana. I always add extra bacon on the side. A must with any breakfast order.

The burrata 

A light selection, accompanied with roasted figs, fig jam, basil, arugula, toasted sourdough

The vegan burger

Made in house, is truly one of the best I have tasted coming close to believing that it’s carnivorous. 

Squash blossom pizza

Flattered with sun gold tomatoes, ricotta cheese and lemon drizzle.
